Gregory Stone sites in Cambridge
The trapezoidal shape shows the extent of Gregory Stone's property in Cambridge, Massachusetts, around 1645, according to Bartlett's Gregory Stone Genealogy, pp. 50-54. The asterisk in the upper corner of this area marks the location of Gregory's house.

The asterisk close to the top of the map (near the corner of Linnaean and Agassiz Streets) marks the site of the house of Gregory's stepson John Cooper. In this house (still standing) is a tablet which begins, "These very walls must oftentimes have sheltered the benignant presence of Gregory Stone..." Unfortunately, a 2002 analysis by the Oxford Dendrochronology Laboratory showed that the oldest timber in the house was from a little over three years after Gregory's death (Wikipedia article on Cooper-Frost-Austin House).

Finally, the cross near the lower right of the map shows where Gregory is buried, not far from Harvard Square.
